Ximena has been with Bamboo since 2010, contributing to define and safeguard Bamboo’s impact claim. She supports the funds and their investees to be more conscientious and strategic on their impact management: How to define it; How to measure and enhance it and; How to communicate it.

Ximena’s career spans over 25 years across the public, private and non-profit sectors. Trained as an economist with a master’s in international trade and an MBA, she co-authored a book on impact investing (Allman, K. and Escobar de Nogales, X, Impact Investment: A Practical Guide to Investment Process and Social Impact Analysis, Wiley, 2015). Ximena speaks Spanish, English, French, and German. On a more personal note, with three adult children out of the house, Ximena works as a volunteer language teacher in prison and is discovering creative writing.
