David Grimaud is Chief Executive Officer at Bamboo Capital Partners.
David is passionate about impact investing and its power to deliver sustainable, positive impact for underserved communities around the world. David was born in France, raised in Togo, and educated in Europe, West Africa, and the United States. In many ways David is the embodiment of a bridge between cultures – both in business and more broadly. David has over 15 years’ experience structuring global investment strategies for institutional clients, striving to push impact investing and sustainable finance across emerging and frontier markets. David wants to use his first-class experience as a senior investment professional and global citizen to bring different ways of doing business.
Before joining Bamboo, David was the CEO of Symbiotics Asset Management, following other roles at Symbiotics such as Head of Portfolio Solutions and Portfolio Manager for equity investments. Previously, David worked at Amundi as a Structured Products Investment Manager, and started his career in at the crossroads of investment banking and asset management with roles in trading and fund structuring operations at corporate and investment bank divisions of Credit Agricole and Société Générale.
David is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, a master’s in applied mathematics and economics from Université Paris-Ouest and an MS in Applied Mathematics and Engineering from the French Ecole Polytechnique, jointly with a post-graduate diploma from the EPFL in Lausanne.
