Moisés António

Senior Investment Manager

Moisés is an off-grid energy specialist with more than nine years of experience in Mozambique’s energy access sector. He holds a postgraduate degree in Management of Renewable Energy Systems from Eduardo Mondlane University.

Moisés supports the +Energia Facility, the national financing platform of the Government of Mozambique for off-grid energy access managed by BCP. In this role, he contributes to program implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and the verification of results for financing instruments supporting off-grid energy companies.

Previously, Moisés served as Monitoring Team Leader for the EnDev and Green People’s Energy for Africa (GBE) programs implemented by GIZ. In this capacity, he led results verification and contract monitoring, including under FASER, the first results-based financing (RBF) facility for off-grid energy in Mozambique. Over the past decade, he has contributed to the design of funding windows, evaluation of proposals, beneficiary selection, allocation of funds, and verification of results.

Moisés has also worked as a consultant on carbon credit projects related to the dissemination of improved cookstoves. His responsibilities included stakeholder consultations, baseline and impact studies, calculation of CO₂ emission reductions, and monitoring of projects under Gold Standard requirements.

He is fluent in Portuguese and English.
