Anya Berezhna

Anya is a dedicated Impact Investment professional who started her career by completing a Master’s degree in Development Finance and Microfinance at Nancy University (France). After graduation, she joined Aga Khan’s program in Syria, transforming a microfinance initiative into a full-fledged deposit-taking financial institution, and completed an assignment for Aga Khan’s financial institutions in Burkina Faso and Mali, where she assisted Operations and Audit departments.

Capitalizing on her field experience, Anya joined Symbiotics – a Geneva-based Asset Manager and Advisor specialized in Impact Investing. Within Symbiotics, she progressed from an Analyst in charge of Caucasus, Eastern Europe, and MENA to a Regional Manager role developing Symbiotics’ office in Singapore, where she managed originations and investment analysis team in charge of South and Southeast Asia. Since 2017 Anya has headed the Investment pipeline team, ensuring investment originations globally.

Besides, Anya has joined Aga Khan microfinance institutions as a Board member chairing Risk and HR committees.

She is fluent in English, French, Ukrainian, and Russian.
