Technical Team Leader – Mozambique
Miguel is BCP’s Technical Team Leader in Mozambique supporting the off-grid energy facility +ENERGIA. With over 15 years of on-the-ground experience across Africa and a strong background in the private sector, he brings deep expertise in rural distribution models and off-grid energy markets. Miguel focuses on the design and implementation of innovative financing instruments that support the development and scaling of the off-grid energy sector.
Prior to joining BCP, Miguel led Mozambique’s first Pay-As-You-Go solar home systems company and worked with leading off-grid energy companies in Sub-Saharan Africa, including Engie Energy Access and Burn Manufacturing.
Miguel also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Mozambican Renewable Energy Association since 2022.
